What Time Is the Powerball Drawing Tonight? $793 Million, the 10th-Largest Jackpot Ever, Is Drawn at 10:59 P.M.
No ticket has matched all six numbers since Aug. 12, and after 34 straight rollovers the prize on the line tonight — drawn from the Florida Lottery's Tallahassee studio — has cracked Powerball's all-time top 10. Here is the time, the cash option, and Saturday's numbers.
The Powerball drawing is tonight, Monday, Nov. 2, at 10:59 p.m. Eastern, with an estimated $793 million jackpot on the line and a cash option of $339.9 million. The drawing is held at the Florida Lottery's draw studio in Tallahassee, as every Powerball drawing is, and ticket-sale deadlines vary by jurisdiction and can close before the drawing — the practical answer to tonight's most-searched lottery question is not to wait until the last minute.
The prize has history in it. At $793 million, tonight's jackpot is the 10th-largest in Powerball history, according to the North Carolina Education Lottery's accounting of the game. No ticket has matched all six numbers since Aug. 12, when a ticket sold in Quincy, Illinois, won $1.04 billion; the jackpot reset to $20 million and has rolled 34 straight times since, making tonight the 35th drawing of the run. The advertised $793 million is the total of 30 yearly payments; the one-time cash option, $339.9 million, is about 43 percent of it, before taxes either way.
Saturday's Halloween drawing is why the prize is here: the numbers drawn Oct. 31 were 2, 4, 18, 50 and 56, with the Powerball 20 and the Power Play multiplier 3x, and no ticket matched all six — though several players scored smaller seven-figure prizes in that drawing. A ticket costs $2, and the odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 292.2 million.
If no ticket matches all six tonight, the jackpot rolls again for Wednesday's drawing and likely passes $800 million. Tonight's winning numbers will be filed by this station after the drawing.
