Brightline Trains Between West Palm Beach and Orlando Stay Suspended Until 8:30 P.M. Tuesday (West Palm Beach Watch News)

Brightline has suspended train service between Orlando and West Palm Beach until 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 3, because of high water along the rail corridor in Brevard County, FOX 35 Orlando reported in its Central Florida flooding coverage, read this cycle. The 8:30 p.m. time is the first specific resumption marker the railroad's suspension has carried; earlier files said only that it was not clear when service would resume.

Service between West Palm Beach and Miami, including stops in Aventura, Fort Lauderdale and Boca Raton, continues to operate normally, the reporting said. Crews will inspect tracks, signals and crossings before passenger service resumes, and travelers are encouraged to check Brightline's website and app for updates.

Southern Brevard County has received between 16 and 22 inches of rain since midnight, flooding communities from Melbourne south to Grant-Valkaria, FOX 35 reported, and additional rain is possible through Tuesday morning. For Election Day travelers in Palm Beach County, the practical point is narrow: the Orlando leg is out until Tuesday evening at the earliest, and the South Florida leg is the part of the railroad still moving.
