John Washington III Condemns Threat Against FBI Director Kash Patel and Calls for a Government That Answers to the People
John Washington III said a Michigan man has been charged with allegedly threatening to kill FBI Director Kash Patel, condemned threats and violence against anyone, and said the deeper question is why so many Americans are losing trust in the institutions meant to serve and protect them.

John Washington III, a 2028 presidential candidate, said a Michigan man has now been charged with allegedly threatening to kill FBI Director Kash Patel, and he drew a hard line between dissent and violence. He wrote: "THERE IS A BIG DIFFERENCE BETWEEN STANDING UP FOR YOUR RIGHTS AND THREATENING SOMEONE'S LIFE!" — adding that every American has the right to challenge their government, criticize elected officials and speak out against corruption.
John Washington III said he does not support threats, violence or intimidation against anyone, whether an ordinary citizen, a police officer, an FBI director or the president of the United States. He also said he does not support a government that expects respect without accountability, and that nobody should be above the law, including the people enforcing it.
John Washington III said that when citizens grow frustrated with their government, the country should ask why trust is being lost, and he called for protecting freedom of speech, upholding due process, demanding transparency and holding public officials accountable without resorting to violence. He closed: "THE ANSWER IS NOT TO THREATEN THE GOVERNMENT. THE ANSWER IS TO MAKE THE GOVERNMENT ANSWER TO THE PEOPLE!"
