NTSB to Brief Media in West Palm Beach Monday as Learjet Crash Investigation Begins
The National Transportation Safety Board is sending a go-team to Palm Beach County and will hold a media briefing in West Palm Beach on Monday, with the time and location still to be announced.

The federal investigation into Sunday's Learjet crash in Palm Beach County moves into its first full day on Monday, when the National Transportation Safety Board holds a media briefing in West Palm Beach, the board said, with the time and location to be announced. A Learjet 60 crashed in a residential area near Cresthaven around 12:50 p.m. local time on Sunday, Nov. 1, with nine people on board, the Federal Aviation Administration said. The aircraft departed Austin-Bergstrom International Airport in Texas and was headed to North Eleuthera Airport in the Bahamas.
Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy said the crash killed all nine people, the Palm Beach Post reported. The FAA and the NTSB will investigate, with the NTSB in charge and providing all updates, the Post reported. An NTSB spokesperson said the flight, tail number N722BD, was lost from radar and radio contact around 1:25 p.m. while en route, according to the Miami Herald reporting read this cycle, and additional information is expected to be released Monday during the West Palm Beach briefing.
No cause has been given. The NTSB typically issues a preliminary report within weeks of an accident, with a final report on probable cause taking longer, and officials have not publicly identified those on board. Palm Beach County Fire Rescue said Military Trail between Cresthaven and 10th Avenue North is closed to all traffic for what it called an extended incident, and the county later announced an emergency closure on Military Trail between 10th Avenue North and Purdy Lane/Alemeda Drive.
