Two Sunday Morning Races in Palm Beach County: Wellington's Tower Challenge and Jupiter's Zoe Loren 5K
Runners get two 7 a.m.-hour starts on Sunday, Nov. 1: the Wellington 5K, 10 Miler and Tower Challenge at Tiger Shark Cove Park, and the 16th annual Zoe Loren 'Make A Difference' 5K at Carlin Park in Jupiter.

Palm Beach County's running calendar puts two races on the same Sunday morning, Nov. 1. In Wellington, the Wellington 5K, 10 Miler and Tower Challenge starts at 7 a.m. at Tiger Shark Cove Park on Greenbrier Boulevard. In Jupiter, the 16th annual Zoe Loren 'Make A Difference' Foundation 5K Run/Walk starts at 7:30 a.m. at Carlin Park, according to the South Florida running calendar.
The Wellington race, organized with the Wellington Runners Club and now in its 19th year, is built as a fall tune-up for runners training for half and full marathons. The 5K course runs along Greenbrier Boulevard and into the beginning of the Wellington Environmental Preserve, while the 10 Miler runs through the preserve's Marjory Stoneman Douglas Everglades Habitat on a mix of paved path, shell rock road and boardwalks. Runners who want the extra test can enter the Tower Challenge, which sends 10 Miler runners up and down the preserve's five-story observation tower during the race.
Both fields will run on the morning the clocks fell back — daylight saving time ended at 2 a.m. Sunday — giving starters an extra hour of sleep before the 7 a.m. and 7:30 a.m. guns, with rain chances building later in the day.
