WEST PALM BEACH — Florida's race for governor comes to Palm Beach County on its final night. The Democratic ticket of David Jolly and running mate Gwen Graham closes its 'Believe in Better' tour with final rallies scheduled for Palm Beach and Broward counties on Monday night, FOX 13 News reported, after a Monday morning stop in Haines City in Polk County and a swing east to Brevard County.
Republican Byron Donalds is crossing the state the other way. He started his 'Defending the Florida Dream' bus tour in Tarpon Springs on Monday morning, heads to Polk County at noon alongside Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd and U.S. Senate candidate Ashley Moody, and wraps up his campaign stops Monday afternoon in Sarasota, the station reported. Speaking to supporters over the weekend, Donalds said voters are going to show up to the polls in a major way on Election Day and that he is going to be the next governor.
Jolly, speaking in South Florida on Sunday, urged his supporters to participate, and at a Sunday campaign event in Miami outlined his economic philosophy, saying the economy should work for everybody. For Palm Beach County voters who have not yet cast a ballot, Monday is not a voting day: registered voters who did not vote early must vote in person on Tuesday at their assigned precinct, where polls are open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and every voter must present a valid form of photo and signature identification at check-in.
