Florida voters had returned 5,152,684 ballots through Oct. 31 — up 13% from the same point in 2022 — in the compiled state file, and Palm Beach County's 28 early-voting sites take their last ballots Sunday until 7 p.m.

Early Voting Results: Florida Passes 5.15 Million Ballots Through October 31 as the Final Day Opens in Palm Beach County (West Palm Beach Watch News)

Florida's early vote has passed 5.15 million ballots. Through Saturday, Oct. 31, voters had returned 5,152,684 ballots — mail ballots returned plus early in-person ballots — in the newest compiled count from state and county election offices, an increase of 426,191 on the day and 13% ahead of the same point in the 2022 midterms.

By party registration, Republicans account for about 3.1 points more of the ballots than Democrats, a narrower gap than the R+7.4 recorded at the same point in 2022. Registered Democrats have cast 17% more ballots than they had at this point in 2022, Republicans 5% more and unaffiliated voters 24% more. Registration describes who has turned out, not how anyone voted, and Election Day turnout will complete the picture on Tuesday.

For Palm Beach County, Sunday is the last chance to vote early: the county's 28 sites are open 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., and any registered county voter can use any site. There is no early voting on Monday. Voters holding a mail ballot can still drop it at an early-voting site on Sunday, or deliver it to the Supervisor of Elections by 7 p.m. on Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 3, when polls are open 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at assigned precincts.
