Sunday Night Football: Commanders Score 27 Unanswered to Beat the Eagles 27-10 (West Palm Beach Watch News)

LANDOVER, Md. — Jayden Daniels threw for 217 yards and a touchdown, and the Washington Commanders shut out the Philadelphia Eagles over the final three quarters of a 27-10 Sunday night victory, the Associated Press reported. Philadelphia scored the game's first 10 points — Saquon Barkley's 3-yard touchdown run capped the opening burst — and then nothing: Washington answered with 27 straight points, tied the game 10-10 on Daniels's 8-yard touchdown pass to Stefon Diggs in the second quarter, and led 13-10 at halftime.

Washington's defense owned the second half. The Commanders sacked Tanner McKee five times, intercepted him once, and held Philadelphia to 268 total yards, the AP reported. Drew Stevens kicked four field goals, his 42-yarder stretching the lead to 19-10 with 3:43 left, and Rachaad White's 1-yard touchdown run plus Austin Ekeler's two-point conversion with 1:52 remaining finished the scoring. McKee was starting his third game in place of Jalen Hurts; Daniels finished 16-of-29 with no interceptions.

The win is Washington's first in more than a month — the Commanders are 2-4-1, and Daniels won as a starter for the first time since Oct. 5, 2025. Philadelphia falls to 2-6 with its sixth straight loss, the franchise's first six-game skid since 2012. Washington hosts the Los Angeles Rams next weekend; the Eagles host the New York Giants.
