NFL Scores: Patriots Rally Past Dolphins 24-19 in the Rain at Hard Rock Stadium (West Palm Beach Watch News)

MIAMI GARDENS — The Miami Dolphins let a 10-point halftime lead wash away in the rain on Sunday, falling 24-19 to the New England Patriots at Hard Rock Stadium after New England scored 21 unanswered points in the second half, Reuters reported. Miami led 13-3 at the break behind quarterback Malik Willis, but the Patriots took control in the third quarter and held on through a late Dolphins rally.

Drake Maye completed 16 of 20 passes for 199 yards and two touchdowns for New England, doing most of his damage after halftime, Reuters said. He found Kyle Williams for a 43-yard touchdown with 9:23 left in the third quarter to cut the lead to 13-10, then ran 2 yards for the go-ahead score with 59 seconds left in the third — his fifth straight game with at least three total touchdowns, the Associated Press reported. DeMario Douglas, who caught three passes for 76 yards, extended the lead to 24-13 with a 48-yard touchdown catch with 12:39 to play.

Willis finished 21 of 32 for 211 yards, two touchdowns and an interception for Miami, the Palm Beach Post reported, and hit rookie Kevin Coleman Jr. for a 35-yard touchdown with 2:04 left to make it 24-19. The two-point try failed, New England recovered the onside kick, and Rhamondre Stevenson — 82 yards on 19 carries — helped run out the clock, Reuters said. The loss drops Miami to 1-6; the Dolphins host the Detroit Lions (5-2) on Nov. 8, while the Patriots (5-3) host Green Bay.
