Powerball Jackpot: $793 Million on the Line in Monday Night's Drawing
No ticket matched all six numbers on Halloween, so Monday's 10:59 p.m. ET drawing carries an estimated $793 million jackpot — $339.9 million in cash — in the 35th drawing since the last jackpot was won.
TALLAHASSEE — The Powerball jackpot stands at an estimated $793 million for Monday night's drawing, with a cash value of $339.9 million, after no ticket matched all six winning numbers in Saturday's Halloween drawing, USA TODAY reported. Saturday's numbers were 2, 4, 18, 50 and 56, with a Powerball of 20 and a Power Play of 3x — close enough to roll the prize higher, but no jackpot winner.
The run has been building since Aug. 12, when a ticket sold in Illinois claimed an estimated $1.04 billion prize, USA TODAY reported; Monday will be the 35th drawing since then. A Monday winner chooses between the $793 million annuity and the roughly $340 million one-time cash payment, both before taxes, and the odds of matching all five white balls plus the Powerball are 1 in 292,201,338, according to Powerball's published figures as reported this run.
The drawing is held Monday, Nov. 2 at 10:59 p.m. ET, and Powerball drawings are broadcast from the Florida Lottery's draw studio in Tallahassee — the Florida thread in a national game played in 45 states. Tickets cost $2. Whatever Monday produces, the result files on this station Tuesday morning, alongside Election Day.
