Palm Beach County High School Football: Week 11 Finals Are In, and the Playoff Brackets Arrive November 6
Glades Central beat Pahokee 27-14 in the Muck Bowl, West Boca Raton shut out Atlantic 35-0 and Palm Beach Lakes routed Suncoast 58-6 as the regular season closed — with FHSAA brackets due Nov. 6 and the playoffs opening Nov. 13.
The Palm Beach County high school football regular season is complete. Final Week 11 results from the last official regular-season night included Glades Central's 27-14 win over Pahokee in the Muck Bowl and West Boca Raton's 35-0 shutout of Atlantic, according to the county scoreboards rounded up by the Palm Beach Post. Palm Beach Lakes added a lopsided Thursday result, beating Suncoast 58-6.
The records set on Friday, Oct. 30 — the FHSAA's listed end of the regular season — will now be used to set district rankings and influence who makes the postseason bracket. One local game remains in the six-day dead week before the brackets: Cardinal Newman of West Palm Beach, which lost 28-14 to Carrollwood Day on Oct. 30, is scheduled to host West Broward on Monday, Nov. 2 at 6 p.m., according to the school's MaxPreps schedule updated Nov. 1. Results in the dead week can still change polls, district standings and seeding.
The FHSAA playoff brackets are revealed Nov. 6, and the postseason begins Friday, Nov. 13, when Classes 1A through 6A open with regional quarterfinals and the state's new Open Division begins pool play. Regional semifinals follow Nov. 20 and regional finals Nov. 27, with state semifinals Dec. 4 and the championship games at Pitbull Stadium on Florida International University's campus in Miami.
