Trump, at Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach, Says Flavio Bolsonaro Can Stay in the US 'As Long as He Wants'
President Donald Trump told reporters at his Mar-a-Lago club in Palm Beach on Saturday that Brazilian Senator Flavio Bolsonaro, who fled to the United States after losing Brazil's presidential election, can stay 'as long as he wants,' Reuters reported.

PALM BEACH — President Donald Trump said on Saturday that Brazilian Senator Flavio Bolsonaro can stay in the United States "as long as he wants," Reuters reported in a file published Sunday, Nov. 1. Trump spoke to reporters at his Mar-a-Lago club in Palm Beach, Florida.
Bolsonaro lost Brazil's presidential election to leftist President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva and fled to the United States after his election loss, according to the Reuters report. Trump said he has no plans to meet with Bolsonaro.
The remarks, made from Palm Beach County in the final weekend before Tuesday's midterm elections, put the county briefly at the center of an international political story: a defeated Brazilian presidential candidate sheltering in the United States, and an American president saying publicly, from his Palm Beach club, that the stay can continue indefinitely.
