Panthers Host the Red Wings Monday Night Seeking a Fourth Straight Win
Florida comes home at 8-4-2 off Anton Lundell's first career hat trick — a 5-2 Friday win over Winnipeg — with Detroit at Amerant Bank Arena at 7 p.m. and a three-game winning streak on the line.

SUNRISE — The Florida Panthers host the Detroit Red Wings at Amerant Bank Arena on Monday at 7 p.m. Eastern, seeking a fourth straight win in the last game of their homestand before the schedule turns. Florida is 8-4-2 and has won six of its last eight, and Monday's game closes a weekend the Panthers spent resting on Friday night's work.
That work was a 5-2 win over the Winnipeg Jets in Sunrise on Friday, built on Anton Lundell's first career hat trick. Sam Reinhart opened the scoring on the power play with 1:45 left in the first period, Lundell doubled the lead early in the second, and after Winnipeg cut the deficit twice, Lundell scored the game's final two goals — the last an empty-netter with 1:39 remaining, completing the hat trick in his 373rd regular-season appearance. Seth Jones added a goal and two assists, Reinhart finished with a goal and an assist, and goalie Akira Schmid made 22 stops for his third consecutive win as Florida outshot Winnipeg 38-24 and sent the Jets to an eighth straight loss.
Jones's Friday also closed a record month: his three points gave him 18 points in October, a Panthers record for a defenseman in a single month, with 17 of them coming in a nine-game stretch that began Oct. 12. Detroit arrives Monday as the next test of that form — puck drop is 7 p.m. in Sunrise, and the Sports Desk files the final within 45 minutes of the horn.
