WEST PALM BEACH — The overnight read in the station's live weather feed is 75.8 degrees, with Palm Beach County's Flood Watch still running to 3 p.m. Monday — the tail of the wet weekend that measured 2.5 to 3.5 inches in the county's northeast under Sunday evening's Flash Flood Warning. The National Weather Service in Miami keeps scattered totals of 3 to 5 inches possible through Monday, isolated 5 to 7, and the Coastal Flood Advisory on the county's coast runs until 7 p.m. Monday.

The late-night feed has eased Monday a notch since the evening files: a high of 78.4 degrees, a low of 72.1, and a precipitation chance down to 59% from 66%. Election Day, Tuesday, still carries a thunderstorm code while polls are open 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. — a high of 79.1, a low of 75.9 and a 52% precipitation chance — and Wednesday keeps a thunderstorm code too, at 82.9 degrees and 46%. A high rip current risk runs through Tuesday evening and a Small Craft Advisory until 10 a.m. Tuesday.

Then the week dries out in a straight line: Thursday 82.8 degrees at 16%, Friday the warmest day of the stretch at 87.3 degrees and 8%, Saturday 81.2 at 4%, and next Sunday 83.6 at 15%. Monday's two standing road stories — Military Trail at the crash site and South Ocean Boulevard in Palm Beach — ride on top of the wet morning commute.
